Andrew J. Preston is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist in the state of South Carolina and has been working in public schools since 2004. He is an advocate to provide access to psychoeducational evaluations for children and adults. He is passionate about the mission statement of Driftwood Evaluation Center: We provide comprehensive, compassionate, individualized and personal attention to each and every patient. 

I have been with Driftwood Evaluation since March 2023. I moved to Hanahan, South Carolina in June 2022 from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. I graduated from Worcester State University with my M.Ed. and Ed.S. In School Psychology. I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and am a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES). I work as a full time school psychologist in a high school. I am excited to be a part of this growing company and help make a difference in this community!  In my free time, I help coach my high school cheerleading team and spend time with friends, family, and my cats :) 

I work full-time with a school district in Columbia, SC. I have been a school psychologist for 18 years and have worked in the school setting as well as with the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. Being a school psychologist has been rewarding for me as I enjoy helping children meet their full potential and obtain necessary services. It is also important to me that families understand and are able to navigate the educational system and state services and supports with as much ease as possible. 

I grew up in Charleston, SC and currently reside in Lexington, SC with my husband, teenage daughter, and pre-teen son. When not working, I enjoy reading, visiting historic state/national park sites, hiking with my family, and journaling.
